Margaret A. Kaufman, 76, of Auburn passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born March 3, 1942 in Auburn, the daughter of Carl and Grace Hanson Schuster. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Carl and Jim Schuster and a sister, Donna Garbacz.

She married Eugene Kaufman on June 20, 1964 in Auburn. Margy taught high school math for over 10 years in Auburn and then was a software engineer for IBM for 20 years. Margy and Gene enjoyed wintering in Tucson, AZ for over 18 years.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting and photography. Surviving are her husband, Eugene; daughter, Trudy (Kevin) McBride; two sons, Jeff (Jill) Kaufman and Aaron (Jennifer) Kaufman; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Lynn (Tom) Hunley; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be from 9am till 11am, on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn.

A luncheon will be at the Holy Parish Cross Center, Auburn following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave. , St. Louis, 63110.
