Obituary for Margaret A. Morrow Margaret A. “Margo” Morrow was born on July 20, 1920 in Romford, Es, England. She died at 6 p.m. on April 30, 2018. Margaret was the widow of Robert William Morrow and is survived by daughters: Christina Weinhaus, Melita (Lee) Raak and Heather Morrow; grandchildren: Brian Weinhaus, Megan (Raak) Loomis and Dylan Raak; and great-grandchildren: Jordan and Tegan Weinhaus and Ava and Will Loomis.

Margaret became a Land Army Girl during World War II to help the war effort on the Home Front in Britain, and then later trained as a nurse with the St. John Ambulance Brigade and was in the Civil Nursing Reserve stationed in Calcutta and Darjeeling, India in 1946. In 1949, she emigrated with her husband and infant daughter to Western Australia. Moving to the United States in 1958, residing primarily in Royal Oak, Michigan and Inverness, Florida.

Margaret was an accomplished seamstress, quilter and needleworker and worked at Taylor’s Sewing Basket and Arrowhead Western (later Scott Colburn’s) Outpost in Royal Oak. She lived at Barton Towers in Royal Oak from 2005-2014. In earlier years, Margaret enjoyed Ballroom and Square Dancing and was an avid gardener.

She collected Native American pottery and was a prolific reader her whole life. Private family services. Memorial contributions to Michigan Humane Society, 30300 Telegraph Rd.
