Obituary for William R. Kinnunen Kinnunen, William R. Age 95. June 24, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Violet.

Dear brother of Inez Muckentheler, the late John Kinnunen, Erma Kinnunen, Eddie Kinnunen, George Kinnunen, Carl Kinnunen, Esther Wood, and Ruth McKinney. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Scottish Terriers, Bonnie and Taffy.

Bill retired from Woolworth Tool and Die (Ferndale). He was a proud WWII army veteran and was in the CC Camp of Rexton, Michigan. Bill was a professional umpire for Major League Baseball and in later years enjoyed watching baseball and football on TV.

He and Vi traveled worldwide. He was most known for being a kind and generous uncle and leaves his nieces and nephews with many fond memories. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 pm at the Wm.

Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blks E. of Woodard), Royal Oak. Inurnment will take place privately at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
