Margaret Gibson July 03, 1928 – March 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Margaret Gibson, 90, of Shelbina, Missouri, formerly of Pittsburg, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was born July 3, 1928 at Ft. Scott, Kansas the daughter of Jack and Mary (Simhiser) Mitchell.

She attended schools and graduated from Ft. Scott High School On February 16, 1957, she was united in marriage to William Joe Gibson at Miami, Oklahoma. They lived in Coffeyville, moving to Pittsburg in 1959.

Mr. Gibson preceded her in death on February 16, 1996. Mrs. Gibson attended the Baptist church. She was an active member for many years of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Seaver of Hunnewell, Missouri and Terry Gibson of Pittsburg; a daughter, Lois McKinnley of Overland Park, Kansas; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Gary Gibson. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday (March 23) at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev.

Jim Sukraw officiating. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. Burial will follow the services.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday at the Brenner Mortuary to sign the register book. The family suggests memorials to the Ladies Auxiliary of Foreign wars department of Kansas. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
