Margaret L. Van Winkle, 85 of Ashland died Saturday October 6, 2018 at The Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born April 4, 1933 in Ashland Co. the daughter of Harley and Minnie Bender Steward. She was a transcriber for Samaritan Hospital for 35 years and also worked for Drs.

Shin and Torski. Margaret was a member of the Ashland Church of Christ. She is survived by a son, Lowell Van Winkle II, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchidlren, and three sisters, Thelma Reep, Mary Aten and Vera Whitmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lowell Van Winkle, a son, Charles Van Winkle, a granddaughter, 5 brothers, Howard, John, Dick, Carl and Bill Steward and a sister, Mildred Williams. There will be no services. Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
