Margaret Raley 97 was welcomed home by her loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday January 12,2019. She was the loving daughter of Dewey and Lula Brackeen. Born on August 12th, 1921 in Italy, Tx.

She had one brother and two sisters who were brought up with hard work and faith and music. She met the love of her life Elbert, they started a wonderful adventure they had 2 great children Tommy and Oris. She was a loving wife, supportive mother and doting Mamaw.

She was a very kind person; She made those around her feel as though they were family. She had the ability to love in a Christ like manner totally unconditionally without judgment. She and Elbert raised their little family in Trentman Avenue Baptist Church (now known as Pleasantview).

While a member of Trentman Avenue Baptist Church, she taught the seven year old girls Sunday School Class for 40 years. She worked as the local Avon lady for years always smelled so good. After moving to Burleson she became a faithful member of Boulevard Baptist Church for the last 20 yrs.

Margaret was preceeded in death by her loving husband, parents, and sister Pauline. She is survived by her children, Rev. Tommy Raley and wife Linda, Oris Patterson and husband Bud (James); eight grandchildren, Michael, Andy, David, and Joel Raley, Margie Hastings, Mandy Forbes, Melony Booher, and Paula Patterson; twenty one great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; sister Roberta Kelley and brother George Donald Brackeen; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service for Margaret will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2:30PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park with Michael Raley, Andy Raley, David Raley, Joel Raley, Justin Hastings, and Nathan Hastings serving as pallbearers and Cody Raley and Brandon Raley serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:30PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
