Margie Elizabeth Spalding, 95, of Bardstown died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Loretto Motherhouse. She was born March 16, 1923 in Fredericktown, she was a homemaker, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Altar Society. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clem Spalding; daughter, Sue Ann Rogers; parents, Bert and Prudie Mudd; and four brothers, Bobby Mudd, Parker Mudd, Paul Mudd, and John Mudd.

She is survived by three children, Bill Spalding (Donna) of Versailles, Steve Spalding (Tina) and Joanie Offutt (Rob) both of Bardstown; two brothers, Phil Mudd of Mt. Washington and Jim Mudd (Shirley) of Bardstown; sister, Rose Ziegler (Ray) of Louisville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Rev. Terry Bradshaw will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 till 8 pm Friday, November 23, 2018 and 8 till 9:15 am Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home.

A prayer service will be held at 6 pm Friday. Memorial contributions may go to the 2nd. Floor caregivers of the Loretto Motherhouse.
