Marguerite S. “Peg” Kiser, 85, of Hanover, PA, died 6:55 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover. She was divorced from Carl L. Kiser to whom she was married for 29 years. Born May 9, 1933, in Center Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester L and LeEmma E. Sholly.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, York Street, Hanover where she was active on the church council and served as a Cub Scouts den mother. She graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1951, and then graduated from the School of Nursing of the Church Home and Hospital, Baltimore, MD in 1954. She worked in Baltimore as a registered nurse until 1963.

She retired from Homewood at Plum Creek in 2004. Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca Kiser of Hanover; three sons, Daniel Kiser and Samuel Kiser of Hanover, and Benjamin Kiser of Frederick, MD; two grandchildren; one brother, Michael Sholly. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with her Pastor the Rev.

E. Robert Burkhart officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
