Kenneth R. Beard, Sr., 77, formerly of Fairfield, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA. Born January 1, 1941 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Iona (Richard) Beard. Kenneth was the loving husband of the late Dottie L. (Flohr) Beard who died November 25, 2015.

Mr. Beard served his country proudly in the U.S. National Guard Reserve. He worked in the tool room for Alloy Rods/ESAB for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the U.A.W. #1968 at ESAB.

Kenneth and his late wife Dottie owned and enjoyed attending antique car shows. Kenneth is survived by his son, Kenneth “Rich” Beard, Jr. and his wife Anna of Italy; one granddaughter, Amelia Beard; and two brothers, Robert Beard and wife Avis, John Beard and wife Dolores, sister-in-law Connie Martin, and brother-in-law, Michael Flohr. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Beard.

A memorial service to celebrate and remember Kenneth will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the funeral home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth’s name to the Huntington’s Disease Foundation (HDFI) P.O. Box 912 Salado, TX 76571, www. huntingtonsdiseasefoundation.org/make-a-donation.
