Helen R. Leonard, 91, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Hanover, PA. Born April 23, 1927 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late George S. and Mary M. (Bucher) Lawrence. Helen was the loving wife of the late Paul H. Leonard, who died November 2, 1992.

Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. She worked as a seamstress for many years at various businesses and retired from My Lisa. Helen enjoyed playing cards, doing word searches, and especially loved her dogs, Frenchy and Sophie.

She also loved being with her grandchildren and having her hair done by her dear friend, Belinda Smith. Helen is survived by her daughter, Linda R. Woodall of Hanover, PA; four grandchildren, Tammie A. Hughes, Shawn A. Woodall, Tina M. Neiderer and Tanya L. Lippy; ten great-grandchildren, Stefanie, Justin, Meagan, Cody, Macy, Zachery, Emily, Joshua, Carly and Rourke; four great-great-grandchildren, Lilly, Anna, Autumn and Madelyn; and two siblings, Grace Thomas and Richard Lawrence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 24, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Monsignor James M. Lyons as celebrant.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Monday, December 24, 2018 at the church. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA has been entrusted by the family with the funeral arrangements.
