Obituary for Maria E. Ricciardi (Petrillo) Print Maria E. Ricciardi, 81, loving wife of Eugenio Ricciardi, died on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Meriden Center. Born in Liberi, Italy on February 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Giovannina (Russo) Petrillo. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Maria was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who were the light of her life. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters and two sons; Gina Simone and her husband Joseph of Plantsville, Angelina Stephens and her husband Rex of Bristol, Phillip Ricciardi and his wife Patricia of New Britain, and Raffaele Ricciardi of Florida.

She is also survived by six grandchildren; Rosanna, Anthony, Gino, Raffaele, Michael, and Alex and four great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Liam, Miranda and Kaylee. She is also survived by her brother, Salvatore Petrillo and several nieces and nephews. Maria is predeceased by her son, Giuseppe Ricciardi, and two brothers; Pasquale and Alberico.

Maria’s family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Meriden Center for their compassionate care and love they gave to her and her family. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Campus for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
