Marie Mattos Faria ( BABE ) Born in a grape vineyard in Livingston, Ca. on September 3, 1924 to the late Mateus ( Mat ) and Martha Mattos of Hilmar, Ca. Passed away October 2,2018 at the age of 94.

She attended Hilmar High School and married her husband of 53 years Frank Faria in 1941 She worked side by side with her husband in the dairy business for 16 years. After sale of dairy she worked 30 years as a meat wrapper for various grocery stores starting with Four Star Market, Purity, Safeway, Lucky’s, Bread Basket. After retiring as a meat wrapper she worked for Langendorf Bread Box Thrift Store.

She was always known as the life of a party. She loved western music and loved to dance. She is preceded in death by her sister Isabell Faria of Hilmar, Ca.

, Husband Frank Faria of El Nido,Ca. , Infant daughter Marie Faria, Grandson Clifton McWells, Son In Laws E.J. McWells, Charles Bradley, George Allen. She is survived by three daughters Linda Allen, Rita Bradley, Mary McWells Bryant ( Roy) eight grand children: George Allen Jr., Bryan Allen( Peggy ) Cindy Jeffries ( Charles ) Chad Bradley ( Kelly ) Aaron McWells, Debbie Bryant, Richard Bryant , Tori Lovier; Twelve great-grand children and Twenty great-great grand children.

She will be missed and loved forever. A special thank you to Guardian Angel Home Care Givers Lu Lu, Maria, Judy for their special care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Bristol Hospice 374 East Yosemite Avenue, Ste.

200 Merced Ca. 95340 or donors favorite charity. Visitation will be held Wednesday October 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home located at 901 W. Main Street in Merced ,Ca.

A Chapel service will be held Thursday October 11, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery located at 260 W. Childs Ave. in Merced ,Ca.

A reception will be held at the Elks Lodge 1910 M Street Merced, California 95340.
