Maria Revilla of Maywood, New Jersey November 1, 1924 – May 24, 2019 Maria (nee Solis) Revilla, 94, passed away on Friday, May 24,2019 of Maywood, NJ. Maria was born to Salvador Solis and Maria (nee Alveres) in November of 1924. She grew up in Spain in a home where religious principles and support for one another was the daily rule.

She completed High School and received training as a medical assistant and was a volunteer for the Red Cross in Spain. Shortly after Maria came to the United Sates she and the whole family became U.S. citizens. Maria met and married her late beloved husband Antonio Revilla in Cuba.

Loving mother of two children, Manuel Revilla and his wife Tina and Maria (nee Revilla) Buckmaster and her husband Peter Gargiullo. Maria was the third child of seven brothers and sister and cherished grandmother of Daniel. Maria worked as a superintendent of an apartment building for several years when she lived in Union City and was parishioner of St. Joseph’s and St. Michael parish in Union City.

She also worked as a Day Care worker and a homemaker for her loving family. Her Family and her religion were her life. When she lived in River Edge she belonged to St Peter’s Parish and then moved to Maywood, NJ and became a very active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.

Maria attended mass daily and belong to the Rosary Society of our Lady Queen of Peace and Grupo do Oracion Luz y Vida Prayer Group. She leaves us with wonderful memories of many holidays and family gatherings. “We will miss her beyond belief, ” expresses her youngest sister , Marisu.

“God has prepared a special place in Heaven for her”. Funeral from the Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave, Maywood on Wednesday, May 29,2019. Funeral mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Maywood,NJ at 10:00am.

Burial at George Washington Memorial Park,Paramus,NJ. Visiting Tuesday 3:00-5:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
