Marilyn Lois Cushing of Irving, Texas March 21, 1937 – January 8, 2019 Marilyn Lois Cushing, 81, a resident of Irving since 1966, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at a local hospital. Born March 21, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the daughter of the late Leo G. Chelius and Helen Rowberry Chelius. She married Robert Cushing April 9, 1966 in Dallas.

She graduated from Texas Women’s University and worked for a medical laboratory. She attended Irving Second Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Brian and Patrick Chelius; and her husband Robert March 19, 2001, she is survived by her children, Debbie Cushing of Irving, Melissa Cushing of Minneapols, MN, and Robert Alan Cushing of Mesquite, TX; three brothers, Don Chelius, Sr. of California, Leo George Chelius, Jr. of Rio Rancho, NM, and Stephen Chelius of Oregon; two sisters, Kathy Montoya and husband Joe of Utah and Elizabeth Gordon of Albuquerque, NM; four sisters-in-law: Janie Elliott of Little Rock, AR, Connie Cushing of Sun City, AZ, and Diane Cushing of Puckett, Mississippi, and Sandy Houpt of Clarkridge, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Irving Second Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2945 South Sunbeck Drive Farmers Branch, TX 75234. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless. The body may be viewed 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving.
