Marilyn Rose Meiers, 89 died Saturday November 17, 2018 at Carolina Manor. She was born in Chilton on August 21, 1929, daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Nadler) Dietz. Marilyn married Harvey G. Meiers on February 7, 1948.

He preceded her in death on September 5, 2005. Marilyn was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the church prayer group. She enjoyed her occasional trips to the casino, taking drives in the convertible with her dogs, cats and guinea pigs enjoying the ride with Marilyn.

She loved her cars; she may have even enjoyed the occasional race from a stop light with the person next to her. Marilyn really enjoyed spending summers at their cottage on Shawano Lake with her family. Marilyn is survived by her two children: son Bruce (Linda) Meiers; and daughter Nancy (Carl) Meiers-Knox; her four grandchildren: Kris (Sara), Brian (Andrea), Cassandra (fiancé Josh Schingen), and Andre’ Verbrick; and two great grandchildren: Noah and Jonah.

She was further preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen Meiers; and her sister Genny Justice. Mass of Christian burial for Marilyn will be 11:30 AM on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W Marquette St, Appleton with Fr.

James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday morning beginning at 9:00 until 11:15 AM, with Mass to start at 11:30 AM. Marilyn’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of both Carolina Manor and Heartland Hospice, for all of their care and compassion.
