Marilyn Stewart Chugg, 85, born February 5, 1934, passed away February 9, 2019 in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Ogden, Utah to Duncan Stewart and Thelma Rae Peterson. Marilyn attended Ogden City Schools.

On February 11, 1953, Marilyn married her best friend and eternal love, Orville Gene Chugg in the Logan Temple. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she loved working in the Primary teaching the children about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. She later received a certificate for 25 years of service.

Foremost, she was a wonderful wife and mother; also, a great organizer, a meticulous housekeeper, a wonderful seamstress and she loved gardening. She and Orville loved to travel, visiting many places around the world. For many years they toured the country on a Goldwing, traveling with their friends.

Their favorite place to vacation was Depoe Bay, on the Oregon coast, sharing this lovely place with family and friends. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Orville, and her children; Susan (Chris) Westergard, Kathryn (Reid) Haroldsen, and Kenneth (Julie) Chugg. She has twelve wonderful grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and fourteen step-great grandchildren.

Marilyn grew up in a great, loving family. Surviving are her siblings, Donna Clements, Arza Stewart, Beth Vance and Faun Black. Proceeding her in death are her parents, a granddaughter, Erin Westergard, a great grandson, Bryant Mark Westergard, a step great grandson, Robert Haroldsen, and siblings David Stewart, Gay Mitton, Gwen Farr, and Seth Stewart.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 18th at 11:00 AM at the North Ogden 7th Ward building, 205 East Elberta Dr. in North Ogden. The family will meet with friends on Sunday, from 6:00-8:00 PM and Monday, 9:30-10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.

Our family would like to thank Intermountain Healthcare Hospice for the tender care that they provided to our mother and father, during this difficult time.
