God gained another angel on Jan. 2, 2019, when husband, dad, papa, brother and loving son, Mark Cooley, was taken to heaven. Mark was born on Aug.

6, 1961, in Champaign, to David “Ben” and Maxine Cooley. He married Karen Tipsword on Oct. 3, 1981.

They had four children who treasure him: Kassandra Ann Logue, Susan M. Karnes (Matt), Amanda L. Cooley (Debbie), and Mark D. Cooley. He also leaves behind five granddaughters and one grandson who were his world. Mark also has three sisters, one brother and his father, Ben, who survive him.

One lovely daughter, Angel Dawn, one sister, Deborah K. Watterson, and his mother, Maxine, all preceded him in death. He was the owner of CU Glass company in Champaign for seven years and was a union glazer for 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking and being with his family.

He graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in 1979. A private family service was held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Owens Funeral Home.

He was laid to rest at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Memorials may be made for a college fund for his granddaughters, Sadie and Peyton, or for the Sepsis Alliance Organization.
