Obituary for Mark J. “Stosh” Sompolski Mark J. “Stosh” Sompolski, 64, of Waukegan passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 of complications after a bone marrow transplant. He was born April 6, 1953 in Chicago and was a long time Waukegan resident. Stosh worked at Cardinal Health Care for 42 years.

He loved to drink, party, golf, fish and had a larger than life personality that made people laugh. Stosh was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Mark is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane; daughters, Tracy (Steven) Welch, Kelly (Tom) Goggin; grandson, Aiden Welch; sister, Debbie (John) Hutter; brothers, Bruce (Diane), Daniel (Brenda), James (Tani), Peter (Elizabeth), Anthony; many nieces and nephews; in-laws, Richard and Lois Kassel and a lot of good friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Doris Sompolski. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Gurnee Community Church 4555 Old Grand Ave. Gurnee.

Interment will be at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan and also from 9:00 AM to time of service at the Church.
