Obituary for Mark Lee On February 2, 1963, Mark Anthony Lee was born to Helen Brown Lee and Willard Lee, Jr. in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and later in life accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Mark was the youngest of 8 siblings and grew up to be a hard-working man in several industries including the trucking industry and more recently working as a security officer.

He loved having the ‘finer’ things in life, being passionate about his cars and also his attire. He enjoyed reading, roller-skating, cooking and singing and having quiet time alone. Prior to his most recent health crisis, Mark participated in daily devotions and studying the Scriptures with his sister, along with weekly church attendance.

On the early morning of September 8, 2018, Mark quietly slipped into his eternal rest after tenaciously enduring a lengthy illness and hospitalization. His inner strength and overcoming faith was evident as he struggled to re-gain his health. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Helen Brown Lee, his father, Willard Lee, Jr., and sister, Brenda Lee Johnson.

He is survived by sisters: Patricia Habtemichael, Olympia Fields, IL; Deborah Derrell, GA; Beverly Lee Morrow, Hemet, CA; Kathy Lee Jewell and Karen Nyiade, Louisville, KY; and brothers: Willard Lee, III, Louisville, KY and Larry Lee, GA. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews; and two aunts residing in Columbus, OH and one in Huntsville, AL.
