Obituary for Lawrence Henry Bryant Lawrence (Larry) Bryant left us suddenly on September 5, 2018. At only 58 and unexpected, his family and friends are shocked with grief. Born on September 16, 1959 to parents Agnes Virginia and Carl Henry Bryant, Larry would be the seventh of eight children.

Always industrious, Larry delivered newspapers and saved to buy his first car then found work in construction after graduating from Bishop David High School in 1977. Along the way he had attended a party where he met this girl. He had told friends that he would marry her someday.

Patti would find out later and accept his proposal. They were married for 35 years and would have two beautiful daughters. Larry enjoyed singing, song writing and entertaining at their home he had built himself from a burned-out shell and was always into big projects there.

He lived the work hard, play hard expression every single day. His daughters would also receive all the love and attention he could possibly give them. His many nieces and nephews could always count on Uncle Larry for endless fun in the pool, yard or at the beach.

Larry’s friendly demeanor and ability to bring humor to any occasion will be greatly missed. He generously lent his carpentry skills and labor to family and friends alike but often helped out complete strangers. Larry is survived by his wife Patricia K. Bryant, daughters Heather and Brigett (Pete), grandson Sebastian, sisters Rita (Bobby), Anita (Bernie), Joani (Jim), Mary Lee, and brothers Corky (Diane), Mike (Cindy) and Joe.

Larry’s contributions to all who knew him go far beyond what can be written in this space. And his family and friends know that there is simply no replacing him in our lives. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7pm Thursday at Ratterman Keenan Southwest Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road.
