Marsha Kay Groves, age 68, New Castle resident passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. She was born April 11, 1950 in South Whitley, Indiana a daughter of Orville and Lois Gilbert Fred’s. She lived most of her life in New Castle after graduating from Indiana School of the Deaf with the class of 1969.

She was a very loving and caring person who especially enjoyed being a friend and playmate to her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Left to cherish her loving memory include: two daughters, Shannon (Fred) Kuhn of Indianapolis and Donna (James) Amonett; five grandchildren, Jon, Josh, and Jason Kuhn and Kane and Malory Morris; two sisters, Marilyn Jo (Keith) Bultemeier and Dawn Flynn; one brother, Scott Freds; three sister in laws, Carol (Glen) Gray, Judith (Wayne) Galloway, and Marcia Groves; a brother in law, Gary Groves, extended family at Hickory Creek at New Castle; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Timothy Freds. Family and friends may call from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday January 11, 2019 at Macer Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday January 11, 2019 at Macer Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
