Martha Eloise Gothard age 82 of Cookeville and a native of Smithville, passed away Thursday evening, July 5, 2018 at NHC HealthCare in Cookeville. She was born January 29, 1936 to her parents, William Sanford and Geneva Raines Holcomb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Holcomb.

Eloise was a homemaker and a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, 3 children, Randy Gothard of Silver Point, Martha Jane Partridge of Lebanon and Sarah Gothard Smith of Lebanon; 6 grandchildren, Brittany Kuykendall, Adam Gothard, Matthew Beard, John Partridge, Luke Partridge and Abby Smith; 5 great-grandchildren, Samuel Karl and Christina Kuykendall, Grant Partridge, Maverick and Hampton Smith; sister, Imogene Johnston of Las Vegas; aunt, Katherine Hudson of Whitwell. Funeral services will be conducted 1:PM Monday, July 9, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro.

Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday 3:PM until 6:PM and Monday 11:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. In addition to flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Whorton Springs Cemetery Fund or Gideon Bibles.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
