Martha’s Obituary Martha Nell Sibert Rogers, 77, of Oil City, LA went home to be with her Heavenly Father, on Monday, March 25, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA officiated by Rev. Chad Mills and Rev.

Jessie Colston. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oil City, LA. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 28th.

Martha Nell was born March 11, 1942 in Atlanta, TX and lived all of her life in this area. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Oil City, where she loved working in the kitchen, and putting the messages on the Marque for the Church. She was employed as a cashier at Vivian Wal Mart and retired after 20 years of service.

She loved scrapbooking and making family photo albums. Martha loved reading her Open Windows daily devotionals, and even when she wasn’t able to read them anymore her son continued to read them to her. Preceding Martha in death were her parents, AW (Red) Vick and Myrtle Vick, her biological father Owen Sibert, her brothers Arthur Lee Sibert and Ronald W. Vick, her sister Joann Vick, and her infant child Beverly Lane.

She is survived by her 3 children; Kerry Kendrick and wife Kathy of Vivian, LA, Therisa K. Brian and husband Ronnie of Vivian, LA, and Rhonda K. Allen and husband David of Oil City, LA, her brother Jerry Wayne Sibert and wife Dyna of Dixie, LA, her 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her special friend Marie Slaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Allen Jr., Daniel Allen, Ronnie Brian Sr., Adam Spikes II, Trent Tarter, and Jared Vick. Honorary pallbearers are David Allen Sr. and RJ Brian.

The family would like to thank the entire staff and employees at Vivian Healthcare Center and Regional Hospice for the quality care they provided for our precious mother. She Won.
