Obituary for Martha W Dew Martha Shi Dew, of Stratford, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away in her home on November 19, 2018, at the age of 78. Martha was born on June 8, 1940 in her family home in Stratford to parents Augustin Henry Shi, III and Molly Wanda (Winn) Shi. Martha was preceded in death by her parents Augustin Henry Shi, III and Molly Wanda (Winn) Shi; infant brother Augustin Henry Shi, IV; Dr. Augustin Henry Shi, V, M.D; grandparents Augustin Henry Shi, II, M.D., Bessie Mabel (Jackson) Shi, Joseph Bannister Winn, and Altah Martha (Key) Winn; husband George Henry Griffin, and husband Edward L. Dew.

Martha is survived by her five sisters, Bessie Jane Shi, Mary Josephine Stucker, Molly Shi Boren and her husband David L. Boren, Judy Connally and her husband Dr. Don Connally and Susan Shi Crutcher; her four sons, Billy Cole and his wife Angie Cole, Tony Cole and his wife Jill Cole, George Griffin and his wife Traci Griffin and Greg Griffin and his longtime girlfriend Laurie Stathes. ; four grandchildren, Garrett Griffin, Emily Cole Northcutt, Noah Cole and Grayson Griffin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and forever friends. Martha endured a brief and brave battle with cancer prior to her passing.

Her strength, courage and faith in Jesus inspired everyone who witnessed her will to persevere. She would never allow herself to complain or groan about her pain and discomfort. Martha’s only concern was to not be a burden on her family.

Although she lost the battle with her illness, she has received her victory and is rejoicing in the presence of Jesus. Celebration Of Life; 2:00 PM Saturday December 1, 2018 at Stratford Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating; Rev.
