Martin made his journey to the Spirit World on September 25, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. Martin is survived by his daughter, Aveline Arapahoe and her mother, Margie Little Eagle both of Rapid City, SD; grandson, Andrew Scheitel of Cheyenne, WY; special friend, Myrtle Spotted Elk of Wanblee, SD; and nieces and nephews, Charlotte Arapahoe, Antoine Arapahoe, Justina Arapahoe, Jake Arapahoe, Victor Arapahoe, Joe Arapahoe, Jr., Matthew Brown Bull, Madeline Plenty Arrows, and Maxine Broken Nose.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Arapahoe and Alice Running Horse; and siblings, Newman Arapahoe, Dorothy Wilson, Philip Arapahoe, Wilfred Arapahoe, Victor Arapahoe, Charlotte Arapahoe, and Webster Arapahoe.
