He was born on January 1, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Finley Thompson and Ruth Anderson. He she grew up in Kansas City, MO.

He graduated from Van Horn High School in Kansas City, MO. He worked for Marriot Hotel as a Team Lead in stewarding where he worked for 11 years. Martinus leaves behind Robin White, his lifetime partner of 21 years.

He was preceded into death by his parents: Finley Thompson and Ruth Anderson. And his siblings: Artis Ricks, Estella Glover, Juanita Armstrong, and Herman Anderson. He is survived by his daughters: Runkey (Charles) Beard, Latashi (Karam) Jackson, JeConda (Tracy) White, Renee (Daniel) Motley, and Nicole Rimmer.

His son Stanley (Alexis) Rimmer. He is survived by a brother Ronald “Ronnie” Anderson. Martinus grew up attending Jamison Memorial Temple.

He loved to read his bible. He enjoyed swimming and spending time with his grandchildren. He LOVED watching his Kansas City Chiefs.

He enjoyed remembering his child hood in Oklahoma. Martinus is survived by his grandchildren Chameeka & Charles Price, De’Taja (Jose), Jemoreion and Jermaine, who he helped raised, Jamir, Malaya, Mauryce, Jaysen, DeAnthony, Carrington, Treyvon, Karter, Mark, Nilan, and Cole. He had one great grandson Nikolai.

And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
