OBITUARY Fawzia Hanna July 19, 1933 – January 27, 2019 FAWZIA LATIF HANNA Fawzia Hanna, 85, Kansas City, was received into the arms of Christ on Jan. 27, 2019. Services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019,10:00 am, at St. Andrew The Apostle, located at 6415 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO.

Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Gladstone, MO. Fawzia was born July 19, 1933 in Cairo, Egypt to Latif and Ogonie Mikhael. She immigrated to the United States in 1966, with her husband, Fayez Hanna, settling in St. Charles, MO.

She received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Washington University. She was a dedicated mother and Christian, devoted to her family and the Coptic Orthodox faith. She was always helping others and is described as “the definition of good”.

She was truly a gentle soul. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her culinary skills were appreciated by all and brought her Egyptian heritage to life.

Even in her eighties she enjoyed modern technology as a way of staying connected with her family and friends. Watching sporting events, cooking and game shows without her won’t be the same. Fawzia will be forever cherished and missed in our hearts.

Fawzia is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her daughter Siham “Susie” (Carla Ingram) Hanna, daughter Magda (Paul) Scaturro, and son Nasser (Amy) Hanna; grandchildren Jordan, Alexzandria, Hannah, Mia, Nicholas, Reece, Erin and Morgan; siblings Olga, Michael, Albert and Madlen; and numerous other relatives and friends.
