Conrad’s Obituary Conrad O. Brown, Sr., 62, passed away on January 16, 2019 at the home. He was born on August 29, 1956 to the union of Willie Grandison and Katie Brown in Wisner, Louisiana. His mother preceded him in death.

Conrad moved to the Kansas City area as a young child and lived here most of his life. He was educated in the Kansas City public schools and was a graduate of Southeast High School, Class of 1975. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev.

Emanuel A. Johnson. Conrad was employed at Commerce Bank of Kansas City as a processing supervisor for many years. He was later employed at Home Depot until his health began to fail.

Conrad was united in marriage to the former Ms. Marcia Bennett on October 27, 2011. He loved music, fishing, cooking and spending quality time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Marcia Bennett-Brown; one son, Conrad O. Brown II and one daughter, Chanel Brown; four brothers, Darry Brown (Carolyn), Virgil Bennett, Woodrow Bennett III and Schlander Grandison; two sisters, Mona Grandison and April Harris (William); three grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, January 26, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitations Friday, January 25, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the chapel and Saturday, January 26, 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.

Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
