James Allen of Kansas City, Missouri August 12, 1955 – January 19, 2019 James Allen was born August 12, 1955, in Richland Parish to the late Oscar Allen Sr. and late Zonie Mae Staten. At an early age, James joined the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Rayville, LA where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of Rev. Sims.

James was preceded in death by, his father, Oscar Allen Sr., mother, Zonie Mae Holland (Earnest) and two brothers, Terry Holland and Lenard Allen. James served his country for 12 years by enlistment into the United States Army. James departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2019, in Leavenworth, KS.

He always had a smile on his face and he loved his siblings dearly. We will treasure our fondest memories of our dear brother, James. He leaves to cherish his memory: his stepfather, Earnest Holland (Lillie); 6 other siblings, Eddie Joe Staten (Sharon), Ottis Staten (Laura), Mary Young (Raymond), Oscar Allen (Julia), Gregory Holland (Charnette), and Evelyn Holland; favorite aunt, Polly (Doris Marshall) a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He always had a smile on his face and he loved his siblings dearly. We will treasure our fondest memories of our dear brother James. Graveside Service for Mr. Allen will be 9:00 A.M. Friday, January 25, 2019, at Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7:30 A.M. until 8:00 A.M. at the Eley & Sons Chapel.
