Lawrence R. Jabenis, 90, of Leawood, KS, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Sunday, January 27, 2019 at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO, with burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kehilath Israel Synagogue, Beth Shalom Synagogue or a charity of one’s choice. Mr. Jabenis was born in Kansas City, MO, the son of Nathan and Sarah (Perlman) Jabenis and was a lifelong area resident. He owned 2 ECO Pharmacy’s in Kansas City, KS for over 20 years before his retirement in 1994.

Mr. Jabenis was a member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue, Beth Shalom Synagogue and the ROMEO’s. He was preceded in death by his parents; his 2 sons: Ben and Martin and his brothers: Eli and Macy. Mr. Jabenis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Jabenis; his sister-in-law: Elaine Jabenis and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was a wonderful, kind and generous man. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and his many friends.
