Jacquelyn Elaine Fields of Kansas City, Missouri July 27, 1950 – December 5, 2018 She peacefully returned home while surrounded by family. Jacquelyn was born in Rosedale located in Kansas City, Kansas to her parents Nehemiah and Jacquelyn Germaine Smith. She was an extraordinary, remarkable, amazingly strong and beautiful woman.

There are truly no words to capture the Essence of light that radiated from her soul. Her very first job at the age of 14, making 50 cents an hour as a housekeeper, gave birth to her financial stability and independence. She graduated from Rosedale High School and later earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting from UMKC.

With those skills she obtained employment with Procter & Gamble. She then sought and gained employment with the United States Postal Service. After many decades of dedication to her work, she was able to gracefully retire.

Out of many pleasures in this world, she basked in the world’s universal language: Music. She danced to and sang along with her favorite musical pieces. YANNI was one of her favorite composers and his masterpieces were her companions in her meditations.

Her theme song, forever carried in our hearts as our family classic is “The Lady in Red” by Chris DeBurgh. She always played her favorites while cooking. She was a True Believer in God the Almighty: God the Father, God the Son Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit… Whom resides in all of us.

She gave all praises and acknowledgement for all of her successes, blessings and strength to our Heavenly Father, for she knew all came from HIM. She raised all of her children with the Love and Knowledge of the Lord, and made sure He was known in all ways. In her Marital Union with Matthew Fields Jr., they were blessed with 4 children.

In her Marital Union with Erskiene Anderson, she was blessed with an addition of two step-daughters: Natasha and Sonia Anderson She is Survived By Her Four Children and Grandson: Davina Rochelle Fields, Lynette Evonne Fields, Matthew Eugene Fields, Jacquelyn Rhe’a Fields and Anthony Lee Hunter Fields. 13 Grandchildren: Ja’Niyah, Modesty, Alina, Fred, Paris, Pierre, JayVion, Keeneen, Malayah, Ma’Kaiyah, Nyae, Ty and Tyla, 2 Great Grandchildren: Davion and Daveah Fields, and 2 Great Grandchildren in the making. Her Two Lovingly Beautiful Sisters and One Brother: Loretta Jackson, Beverlie Weathers and George Smith.

A host of Nieces and Nephews, and extended family. As well as a host of caring Souls whom were blessed to know and have received her in Spirit as MOM. Preceding her Homecoming are both of her Parents: Nehemiah and Jacquelyn Smith, 1 Sister: Iretta, and 6 Brothers: Danny, Danial, Miledge, Elijah, Frank, and Nehemiah.

Memorial Service for Mrs. Fields will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, December 14, 2018, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private disposition.
