Vicki’s Obituary Vickie L. Austin, 60, passed away on December 26, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospice. She was born on July 14, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of William H. and Delores (Carson) Austin. Her parents and three brothers, Terry L. Austin, William M. Austin, and Brian D. Wilson; two sisters, Shirley L Austin and Toinette Wilson preceded her in death.

Vicki was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri, later earning her G.E.D. and other education certificates. She worked at Federal Reserve Bank until her health started to fail. Vicki was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age.

She most recently united with Kimble Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas under the leadership of Pastor Charles Anders, eight years ago where she was an active member. Vicki married Larry Bailey, this marriage was later dissolved. To know Vicki was to love her.

She was always quick to help anyone in need, giving her last and loving with all she had. She loved spending time with the people she loved. Vicki was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her only son, Charles L. Austin of St. Joseph, MO; two brothers, Tommy Wilson and Guy Austin both of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Sharon L. Frazier of Kansas City, MO and Doris Jones (Dewayne) of Arlington, TX; three grandchildren, Wesley Staten, Khalil Austin and Elijah Davis; a very special sister-in-law, Pat Austin; two very special friends, Linda Taylor with whom she shared a 40 year friendship and Charlotte Harris; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Saturday, January 5, 5:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition.

Visitation 4:00-5:00 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
