Marvel’s Obituary Marvel F. Pugh, 82, died January 19, 2019 at the Gretna Community Living Center in Gretna, Nebraska. Marvel was born February 21, 1936, at her parent’s home near Millboro, SD. She was the 9th of 11 children born to John Franklin, Sr. ‘Frank’ and Nellie (Ross) Larsh.

She grew up at her childhood home along the Keya Paha River in Tripp County. In 1952, Marvel moved to Ft. Pierre, SD to live with her sister Hazel.

Soon after she met her future husband, the love of her life, Lloyd… Pugh. Marvel and Lloyd were married on Sept. 30, 1953 which began their journey of 52 years of marriage.

They lived and ranched in Stanley County, SD for 3 years before moving to Rapid City, SD in 1957. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Rapid City, SD where she was active in the guild and vestry of the church. Marvel was active in the community for the 40 years she resided in Rapid City.

She was a member of the RC Chamber Jayceettes and a caregiver of many senior citizens in the community. Survivors include her 4 children, Barton (Kelly) Pugh of Omaha NE, Beth (John) Christiansen of Ashland NE, Bret (Linda) Pugh of Newton IA, and Barbie (JR) Hinks of Sioux Falls SD; one brother, John ‘Casey’ Larsh, Jr., Rapid City; 10 grandchildren, Sean Pugh, Caroline Pugh, Emily Pugh, Lindsey (Tom) Kozney, Jessie (Chris) Gumbs, , Jacy Pugh, Paden Pugh, Wes (Tristin) Koehne, Tyler Koehne, Dillon (Brittany) Koehne; and 6 great-grandchildren. Marvel was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, 7 sisters, 2 brothers, grandson Samuel Pugh, and her loving pup Wilson.

Visitation: Wednesday, 5-7 PM, January 23 at Braman Mortuary, 6505 S. 144th St., Omaha NE. Service: Thursday, 11 AM, January 24 at Braman Mortuary, 6505 S. 144th St., Omaha NE. Interment will be in Ft.

Pierre on Friday, January 25. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Endless Journey Hospice or the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha, NE.
