Perry, age 94, of Mayfield, died Saturday, Jan. 5 at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center. Daughter of Irish immigrants George and Sarah Watson Gibson who settled in Meriden Iowa in 1920, Mary graduated high school in Meriden and went on to Buena Vista College.

During World War II she worked as a parts inspector at McCellan Field in California. It was here she met and married Joe while he was on leave from the USS Fletcher in 1943. She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph; two brothers, George and Herbert Gibson; a sister, Fern Mullen; brothers-in-law, James Perry, Anthony Perry and Fred Perry; and sisters-in-law, Rose Depoti and Constance Heinstein.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Parish in Jermyn. She enjoyed traveling with Joe and taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survived by three children, Thomas Perry and wife, Judy, Lake Wallenpaupack; JoAnn Koza and husband, Larry, Tampa, Fla. ; and Gina Perry-Roberts and fiancé, Mike Horrocks, Mayfield; three granddaughters, Melissa and husband, Jim, Land O’ Lakes, Fla. ; Traci Koza, Land O’ Lakes, Fla.

; Kristy Kubilis and companion, Joe Pezanowski, Mayfield; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Byrd and Casey Byrd, Tampa, Fla. ; Hannah and Joseph Pezanowski Jr., Mayfield; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church in Jermyn.

Friends may call Friday at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Mayfield. Arrangements by Ryczak-Harrison Funeral Home Inc., 901 Lackawanna Ave. , Mayfield, Pa.
