Mary Anita Quarles, age 81 of Tunnel Hill, passed away Monday, March 4th 2019 in Hamilton Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “J.T.” Quarles; father, Harmon Anderson Smith; mother, Clarinda “Clara” Seay Smith; brothers, Hillard “H.A.” Smith and Bradley “Billy” Smith; sisters, Mandy “Virginia” Crider Sane and Dorothy Jane Smith; and a great-grandchild. She is survived by sons, Charlie Sisson, James “Michael” Quarles, Ricky Quarles, and Larry Quarles; daughters, Donna Sisson Young and DeAnna Quarles Peal; sister, Edna Smith Green; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Anita Quarles will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 6th 2019 from Dogwood Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremiah Quarles officiating. Burial will be in the Dogwood Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, March 5th 2019. Flowers will be accepted or donations in memory of Mrs. Quarles would be appreciated to: Dogwood Valley Bible Camp 5296 Dogwood Valley Road Tunnel Hill, Georgia 30755. Jones Funeral Home of Tunnel Hill is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
