Obituary for Mrs. Mary Ann Hyman Elvis Mrs. Mary Ann Hyman Elvis, 83, wife of Roger Elvis, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Born February 25, 1935, in Conway, Mrs. Elvis was the daughter of the late Mack Washington Hyman and the late Pearl Inez Singleton Hyman. She retired from AVX Corporation after 45 years of service.

Mrs. Elvis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and she enjoyed fishing with her husband. She was an active member of Brown Swamp United Methodist Church. Mrs. Elvis was predeceased by her granddaughter, Julie Marie Guyton; her brother, Jimmy Hyman; and her sister, Maxine Hyman Brown.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Roger Elvis; her daughter, Julia “Judy” Elvis Guyton and her husband John Henry Guyton; her grandson, Johnathon Clint Guyton; her special niece, Candy Johnson; her brother-in-law, Bill Lawrimore and wife Doris; and her sister-in-law, Nadine Hyman. Funeral services will be held at 3:30PM Friday, June 8, 2018 at Brown Swamp United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Ann Kovan.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church courtyard from 2:00PM-3:30PM. Memorial donations may be made to Brown Swamp United Methodist Church Sign Fund, 4725 Highway 501 West, Conway, SC 29526.
