Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mary Ann Savoy, 80, the former Mary Ann Meche. Mrs. Savoy, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Wednesday evening, February 20 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Savoy of Branch, La; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Savoy; her parents, Ulysse and Louise Menard Meche; a daughter, Janice Daigle and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Savoy. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, February 22 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.

A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Friday by Monsignor DeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Justin Savoy, Josh and Edgar Daigle, Jimmy Dupre, Andre Douga and Scotty Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Braze Savoy and Skyler and Kameron Daigle.

An employee and assistant manager of Dollar General Store in Church Point for a number of years, Mrs. Savoy was truly loved and will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA (337) 684-5488.
