Obituary for Mary Ann Batton Funeral Mass for Mary Ann Batton (nee Skrocki), 84, of Wickliffe, will be 12:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave. , Wickliffe. Mrs. Batton died Dec.

2, 2018, at University Hospitals in Cleveland surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 16, 1934, in Cleveland, and had been a resident of Lake County for 58 years.

Mrs. Batton was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, and an extremely hard worker who always put her family first. She made sure others were always cared for, whether at home, at work as a waitress, or as a committed volunteer at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Wickliffe. Mrs. Batton relentlessly worked to keep her family happy and healthy.

She constantly looked for more ways to give more time to her church, in case one more hour could make more of a difference. And she always cooked too much food at every family dinner, so that no one would ever go hungry. Time and time again, no matter who was watching or what the cost, she kept giving to the people she loved and she never met someone in need she didn’t try to help.

Survivors are her children, Debra B. (Dr. Paul) Kaput of Richfield, and Theresa B. (Joseph) Lors of Willoughby; and grandchildren, Michael B. (Kate) Kaput, Margaret M. Kaput, William J. Lors and Clare E. Lors. She was preceded in death by Glen, her loving husband of 52 years; and parents, Anthony and Mary (nee Rokus) Skrocki. Family will receive friend from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave.
