Obituary for Mary E. Colyer Print Mary E. Colyer Oct. 4, 1940 – Feb. 6, 2019 Mary E. Colyer, 78, Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Harry and Mary Colyer. Surviving are two sisters: Gertrude A. Parsons of Altoona and Violet Murphy of Hollidaysburg; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Lloyd Colyer.

She was also a 1959 graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Pittsburgh. Mary was very much a people person and loved being surrounded by her family. She found joy playing cards with friends, building puzzles, completing word searches and playing any other games she could find.

She was so happy to attend the Allegheny Lutheran Daycare program where she made many friends. She enjoyed camping with her family and cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb.

11, 2019, where a funeral service will be held at noon immediately following the viewing. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions in Mary’s name be made to the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg Attn. Activities Department, 220 Newry St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, where Mary spent a great deal of time laughing and playing her games.
