Obituary for Mary Ellen Marie Babineaux Chauvin Mary Ellen Marie Babineaux Chauvin passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the age of 71. She was preceded into heaven by her parents, Loretta Freeman Babineaux and Milton P. Babineaux. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Albert L. Chauvin, two sons, Albert Chauvin, Jr. (Catherine) and Dr. Timothy Chauvin (Jennifer) and four grandchildren, Kobe, Jacob, Collin, and Maddison and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ellen was a lifelong resident of Gretna, Louisiana. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gretna. In 1966, at the age of 18, she joined the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Blenk Council No.

1905 Ladies Auxillary of which she was a past president and held many other offices. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Blenk Council No. 1905 and Archbishop Blenk Ladies and members of the Archbishop Blenk Class of 1966 are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy.

, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11am. Interment, McDonoghville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 9am until 11am.
