Obituary for Thelma Dorothy Boudreaux Helmer Thelma Dorothy Boudreaux Helmer entered the kingdom of the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late George P. Helmer III for 51 years. Mother of Rouge Helmer, Georga Helmer (Lionel) and the late Guy “Redbird” Helmer.

Daughter of the late Pauline and Neville “Duke” Boudreaux. Sister of the late Georgieanna Luke (Archie) and Clementine Esquivel (Raul). Sister- in- law of Cyril Helmer and Coralyn Hunt.

Aunt of Raul “Bobby” Esquivel (Soco) and the late Gregory Luke. Godmother of Jan Luke Mule (the late Jim). First Cousin of Deanna Lirette.

She retired from the City of New Orleans as a City Hall telephone operator after many years of service. She was a loving and generous person and her dream was to be a teacher. She was an avid reader, liked to crochet, enjoyed teaching many young people how to dance, playing cards, playing pool and she loved animals.

Interment will be held privately at Greenwood Cemetery and a Memorial Mass will also be held at a later date. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www. mothefunerals.com.
