Mom loved to read, as she was always looking for a book or newspaper. Her Bible was her most enjoyable book. Where ever she lived, she participated in numerous Bible Studies, church and community events.

She managed an office supply store, worked for the Department of Commerce, and enjoyed playing the organ; serving as an organist in the various churches and parks where their travels took them. Mom and Dad enjoyed traveling; and their travels took them to various places of warmth through the winter season. Upon the death of her husband, Mom moved to Sioux Center, IA, where she was a member of Faith CRC.
