OBITUARY Mary Jane Lilly Passed away on August 30, 2018 Mary Jane Lilly passed away on August 30, 2018 at John Knox Village in hospice care. Visitation is at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, followed by funeral at 2:00 pm at Floral Hills, graveside services are at 3:00 pm at Mt. Moriah.

She was born Mary Jane Young on September 2, 1926 to Elmer Boswick Young and Marie Magdalena Young in Kansas City MO. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Young, who died in World War II; her sister Adella Risser; her first husband William H. Swinney, Jr.; and her second husband of 44 years, Frank Junior Lilly. Mary lived in Raytown, MO much of her adult life, and was an active member of St. Luke’s Methodist church for many years.

She was one of the original occupants of Jessica Estates in Raytown and long enjoyed her community of friends there. She had worked at Jack Henry Clothing on the Country Club Plaza and retired from Dean Lawrence. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, and she was proficient at counted cross-stitch.

She is survived by her son, Lawrence Swinney and his wife Linda Swinney; her daughter, Luanne Fliss and her husband Robert Fliss; and grandchildren, Robert Swinney and his wife Michelle Swinney; Lisa Swinney; Samuel Brock; and Gabriel Brock. Greatgrandchildren are Caleb, Andrew and Luke Swinney; Lauren Webb and Klover-Merie Brock. Also surviving is her niece, Linda Ronsick and her husband Gene Ronsick.
