Mary Joyce (Zirkelbach) Calhoun, 77, of Evansville, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital. Joyce was born April 4, 1941 in Junction, IL to the late Elmer and Lucille (Drone) Zirkelbach. She was a homemaker and, along with her sisters, Janet Hamilton and Deb Blake, had owned and operated Old Town Antiques.

In addition to antiques, Joyce enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, chair caning and painting. Surviving Joyce are her husband of 55 years, Bill Calhoun; a daughter, Amy Jo (Tom) Robertson of Nashville, TN; son, Chris (Jane Tang) Calhoun of Evansville; sister, Debbie Blake of Evansville; brother, Mark (Cindy) Zirkelbach of Evansville and four grandchildren, Sophie and Ella Grace Robertson, Chloe (Sam) Mankin and Nick (Natalie Hozak) Calhoun. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Hamilton and by a brother, Richard “Zeke” Zirkelbach.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2701 W. Franklin Street, Rev. John Brosmer officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by Sr. Jenny Miller at 6:00 PM.

Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00 AM Thursday until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Gilda’s Club, 5740 Vogel Road, Evansville, IN 47715. Condolences may be made online at www.
