Virginia Lee (Peyton) Woehler, 90, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Pine Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by family. Virginia was born August 24, 1928 in Evansville to the late Guy and Blanche (Tooley) Peyton. She had worked for Permanent Savings and Loan for several years.

Virginia was a very active person and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as the president of the senior citizen’s group. Surviving Virginia are a daughter, Carolyn (Dennis) Woehler Toland of Bowling Green, KY; sons, Sam (Connie) Woehler of Evansville, Kurt (Brenda) Woehler of Florence, AL and Lee Eric (Rachel) Nance Woehler; her cousin and best friend, Janet Wilson; grandchildren, Jeff (Sarah) Woehler, Andy (Mary) Woehler, Courtney Woehler, Annah Woehler and Virginia Nance Woehler; ten great grandchildren; four step grandchildren and twelve step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Woehler in 1999; by two sisters, Mary Ellen DePriest and Delores Ritter and by two brothers, Jack and Marvin Peyton.

Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Pierre Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 560 E. Diamond Ave, Evansville, IN 47711 or to the Salvation Army Food Pantry, 1040 N. Fulton Ave, Evansville, IN 47710. Condolences may be made online at www. pierrefuneralhome.com.
