Clyde D. “Buddy” Morehead, of Newburgh, IN died Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born to the late Sam and Clara (Hill) Morehead in Evansville, IN on July 2, 1928. For a good part of his childhood, Clyde lived in Mt.

Vernon, IN, where his parents had a farm. During his career, he held positions at International Harvester, Avco and Aerojet General. He also served as president of Benerson Corporation and as the vice president of sales for Evana Corporation.

He retired in 1992. Surviving Clyde are his wife of 69 years, Joan (Griggs) Morehead; sisters Lois Butts, Marianne Wagner, and Carolyn Scales; son Richard (Darleen) Morehead; daughters Kathleen Knapp, Lynda (David) Rands, and Mary Beth Burklow; a son-in-law, Mark (Melissa) Ambre; sixteen grandchildren: Laura Jordan, Erin Pimentel, Allison Lewis, Nathan Knapp, Emily Barley, Ben Knapp, Titus Morehead, Abigail Uber, Hannah Morehead, Sam Morehead, Kate Rands, David Austin Rands, Daniel Burklow, Ellen McCrory, Melissa Burklow, and Drew Burklow; eight great-grandchildren: Rebecca Taylor, Victoria Taylor, Marco Pimentel, Emily E Knapp, Jackson Barley, Ben M Barley, Hadley Burklow, and Reagan Burklow. In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by brothers Jim Morehead and Bill Menner; sisters Clara “Sis” York, Dorothy Marie Tindle, and Mary Lou Kueber; and by daughter, Rebecca Jayne Ambre.

There will be a mass of Christian burial held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Rev. Jason Gries officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Road, Evansville, IN 47710. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Condolences may be made online at www.
