Mary L. Larsen, age 73 of Wahoo, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her home. She was born July 4, 1944 in Omaha to Arthur Saxton and Dorthula Adeline (Bomgardner) Morrow. She attended District 19 Country School through the 8th grade and graduated from Tekamah High School.

She attended Wayne State College and The University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and earned a Master of Science Degree in Education from Peru State College. On June 16, 1968 she married Richard Melvin Larsen at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah. Mary taught Home Economics/Family and Consumer Sciences for 27 years, and, also, worked in Foster Care as a Teacher, Case Manager, and Placement Specialist.

She is survived by her children Robyn (Todd J.) Summey of Anchorage, AK, Randy (Kari) Larsen of Billings, MT, Rochelle Border of Clarence, IA, Roxane (Dennis) Goodner of Ashland, NE; brothers Francis (Robbie) Morrow of Des Moines, IA, Clark (Norma) Morrow of Omaha, Edward Morrow of Tekamah, Leslie (Jean) Morrow of Las Cruces, NM, Clifford (Marilyn) Morrow of Tekamah; sister Ruth (Wally) Loerch of Tulsa, OK; foster daughter Lena (Ray) Huckeby of Mead; very special friend and kidney donor Elizabeth Lund of Fremont; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents Arthur and Dorthula Morrow; and brother George Morrow. Memorials may be made to Wahoo Community Church or Bishop Neumann High School art department or library.
