Mary’s Obituary Mary Lavenia Woodlan, 83, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born February 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen House Hurst. She was retired from Heckethorn and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Don Williams with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 14th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She is survived by two sons, Gary Woodlan (Kimberly), Ricky Woodlan, both of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Chelsey McDaniel, Jennifer Noel; five great-grandchildren, Sophie McDaniel, Lucas McDaniel, Matthew Noel, Jade Freeman, Jason Pierce; two sisters, Mary Sue Wheeler, Imogene Mann, both of Dyersburg; and one brother, Carl Hicks (Jane) of Dyersburg.

Jeff Mann, Dennis Robertson, Billy Hicks, Jr., James “Bubba” Wheeler, Jimmy Wheeler and Perry McGehee will serve as pallbearers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Woodlan, her granddaughter, Tiffany Woodlan and two brothers, Bill Hicks and Clifford Hicks. We are privileged and honored to serve the Woodlan family.
