Mary A. Law, 88, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Sept. 23, 2018 at Sturgeon Bay Health Services. She was born Oct.

28, 1929 in Racine to John and Clara (Steiner) Koskubar. After graduating from Sevastopol High School (1947), Mary went to work for Bell Telephone, mostly working for Cincinnati Bell from 1949-1964 as a switch board operator and an engineering draftsman. In 1965, she moved back to Sturgeon Bay and did custom dress making and made draperies.

Mary also taught tailoring classes at NWTC for a number of years. In 1970, she accepted a position at the Door County Chamber of Commerce as the executive’s assistant. She retired from the Chamber in 1990.

On Oct. 9, 1990, she married John Law in Sheboygan. He passed away on May 26, 2014.

For many years, Mary enjoyed traveling to Europe and around the United States. Her favorite pastimes included flower gardening and knitting sweaters for children around the world. She was also an avid reader.

Mary always had a special place in her heart for her two great-nephews, Mike and Chris Fellner. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM when a memorial service will be conducted by the Rev.

Richard Feyen. Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery.
