Mary Lou Burns, born May 17, 1928, passed away April 17, 2018. Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Clyde A. Burns. cherished children Alan Burns, Cathrin Burns, and Lisa Burns, and beloved grandson of Garrett (Laura) Burns.

Preceded in death by her parents, William O’Brien and Kathryn Coulthard Harbaum; brothers William (Maxine) Harbaum and Darrell Harbaum, and sisters Maxine (Joseph) Jacobs, Betty (Stanley) Chromzack and Shirley Littlefield. Mary Lou graduated from Trenton High School -1946. She and Clyde were married in Juarez, Mexico in 1951, while Clyde was stationed at Fort Bliss, TX.

Mary worked for the Corps of Engineers. They returned to Ohio in 1952, and moved to Mason in 1953, where Mary worked as an office manager for Alamark until they began to raise their family. They loved to travel with family and friends, and visited all 50 states and Canada.

The family of Mary Lou will be receiving guests for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home – Mason (400 Reading Rd. , Mason, OH 45040) on Monday, April 23, 2018, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a funeral service to follow on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary Lou to the Humane Association of Warren County.
